What GEMZ is
- GEMZ is the website at gemz.market. It shows cards, listings, sales and buy orders from Collector Crypt, Tensor and Magic Eden, and builds transactions that you sign in your own wallet. GEMZ is run by the GEMZ team. In these terms, “GEMZ”, “we” and “us” mean the website and the GEMZ team.
- GEMZ never holds your cards or your money. Trades settle between wallets through programs on Solana: Tensor's marketplace program, Collector Crypt's marketplace program, and Metaplex Core, the program the cards live on. You never send cards or money to GEMZ to hold.
- GEMZ doesn't sell packs, and doesn't store, ship, grade, insure or redeem physical cards.
- GEMZ doesn't give financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
Your wallet
- You use your own Solana wallet and you alone control its keys. You're responsible for everything signed with it.
- GEMZ will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does isn't GEMZ.
- A transaction you sign is final. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed, by GEMZ or anyone else.
Trading
- Before every signature GEMZ shows what the transaction does: the price, the fees, the royalty and the total. Read it before you sign. On USDC purchases of Tensor listings, Solana may also take a one-time deposit of about 0.002 SOL for each token account the purchase opens; the breakdown doesn't show that yet.
- Listings and buy orders made on GEMZ are placed on Tensor's marketplace, where Tensor's program and fees apply. While a card is listed, Tensor's program holds it in the listing's own account until it sells or you take it down. A buy order's SOL sits in its own Tensor account until it fills or you cancel. GEMZ can't move either, and you can close them without GEMZ.
- Collector Crypt listings bought on GEMZ are sold through Collector Crypt's marketplace, under its terms. Collector Crypt builds the transaction and sends it once you've signed; GEMZ checks it before your wallet sees it. Magic Eden listings open on Magic Eden, under its terms.
- Listings, prices and values on GEMZ can be out of date or wrong. When you buy, GEMZ builds the transaction from the live listing, and the breakdown shows the amounts before you sign.
- GEMZ can't guarantee a listing, buy order or offer will fill, or at what price.
Fees
- GEMZ adds no fee of its own. Buying a Tensor listing on GEMZ costs the same as on Tensor.
- On Tensor trades, Tensor charges its standard 2% fee. The buyer pays it on top of the price, or the seller pays it out of the buy order on Sell now. Part of that fee (1% of the price) goes to the apps that brought the trade, which Tensor calls brokers: 0.8% to the app where the listing or buy order was made, and 0.2% to the app used to fill it. When that app is GEMZ, the share goes to GEMZ's wallet. It comes out of Tensor's 2%, not on top, and the breakdown shows GEMZ's share on its own line.
- Royalties on Tensor trades go to the card's creator, as set on its collection: 2% to Collector Crypt on its cards. GEMZ gets none of it.
- Collector Crypt listings cost the listed price. Collector Crypt takes its fee from the seller, and GEMZ earns nothing on these trades.
- Trade offers carry no GEMZ fee and no royalty. The wallet that accepts pays the network fee.
- Solana's network fees and deposits go to the network, not to GEMZ. Tensor and Collector Crypt set their own fees and can change them. More in the docs.
Trade offers
- Trade offers swap cards between two wallets, with SOL to even it up, in one transaction both wallets sign. They work only while GEMZ has them switched on. While they're off, GEMZ doesn't accept or send offers.
- An offer lasts 7 days unless it's cancelled, declined, countered or accepted first.
- GEMZ holds a key that cancels offers and co-signs a swap both sides have already signed. It can't change an offer's terms or move your cards or SOL on its own.
- If a card has moved or the SOL isn't there when an offer is accepted, GEMZ doesn't send it, and nothing moves.
- Only Collector Crypt cards can be traded, and GEMZ checks every card on-chain first.
The cards
- Each token stands for a graded card that Collector Crypt keeps in its vault. Redeeming the physical card, selling it back, insurance and storage are Collector Crypt's services, under its terms. GEMZ has no part in them and makes no promise about the physical card.
- Collector Crypt's card collection gives Collector Crypt permanent authority to move, freeze or burn any of its cards' tokens at any time, without the holder's signature. This is how redemption works. GEMZ has no such authority and can't undo what Collector Crypt does.
- If Collector Crypt changes its service, its terms or what it lets GEMZ use, what GEMZ can show or do may change too.
Card data and photos
Card names, grades, photos and values come from Collector Crypt and are shown with credit to them. Values are Collector Crypt's insured values; prices come from public sales and listings on Collector Crypt, Tensor and Magic Eden. Card photos and names belong to their owners. All of it is for information only, and isn't advice or an offer to buy or sell.
Using GEMZ fairly
- Use GEMZ only if you can legally make a binding agreement and trade these tokens where you live. You're responsible for any taxes on your trades.
- Don't use GEMZ to break the law, to trade from a sanctioned person or place, or to defraud anyone.
- Don't try to manipulate prices, spam offers, or overload GEMZ or the services it reads. GEMZ limits how often each IP address can use its API.
- GEMZ may stop showing or accepting anything that breaks these rules. It may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time.
Risks and liability
- Tokens, smart contracts, wallets and networks can fail or be attacked, Solana can slow down or stop, and card prices can fall. Tensor, Collector Crypt, Magic Eden, Metaplex and your wallet are run by others; GEMZ doesn't control them.
- GEMZ is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind.
- As far as the law allows, GEMZ isn't liable for losses from transactions you sign, from failures of the blockchain, its programs or other services, from wrong or late data, or from price changes. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes and contact
GEMZ may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using GEMZ after a change means you accept it. Questions or problems: hello@gemz.market. See also the Privacy page.
