How GEMZ works.

Buy, sell and trade real graded cards from your own wallet. GEMZ never holds your cards or your SOL, and shows every fee before you sign.

  • No GEMZ fee
  • Real slabs in an insured vault
  • You sign every trade
  • Built on Solana

Getting started

The cards on GEMZ are real PSA, BGS and CGC slabs kept in Collector Crypt's insured vault. Each one is a token in your Solana wallet: whoever holds the token owns the card. GEMZ brings the listings from Collector Crypt, Tensor and Magic Eden into one place. It doesn't sell packs.

  1. Connect a wallet. Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, from Connect wallet at the top of any page.
  2. See your cards. Your inventory lists the cards you hold and what they're worth. Every inventory has a link you can share.
  3. Find a card. Search from the top bar. Each card has a page with its price history, every listing and buy order, recent pulls, and how many copies exist.

Buying

A card page lists every copy for sale, cheapest first. What happens when you press Buy now depends on where the card is listed:

  • Tensor listings, including cards listed on GEMZ, are bought right on GEMZ. You pay the price, Tensor's 2% marketplace fee, the card's royalty (2% on Collector Crypt cards) and the network fee. Listings are in SOL or USDC.
  • Collector Crypt listings are bought on GEMZ too, in USDC. You pay exactly the listed price. Collector Crypt takes its fee from the seller and pays the network fee. Collector Crypt builds the transaction, and GEMZ checks it before your wallet sees it: this card, your wallet, the live price and nothing else.
  • Magic Eden listings open on magiceden.io in a new tab (Buy on Magic Eden ↗). GEMZ can't build Magic Eden buys yet.

Before every signature GEMZ shows the full breakdown: price, marketplace fee, royalty, network fee and the total. Your wallet only opens after that.

Selling

List a card

Pick a card on Sell, set a price in SOL or USDC, and sign. The listing goes on Tensor, so buyers on Tensor and on GEMZ both see it. When it sells you receive your full price: the buyer pays the 2% fee and the royalty on top. Listing holds a small deposit (the listing account's rent), returned when the listing closes. Change the price or take it down any time from My listings, for just the network fee.

Sell now

If someone has a buy order on your card, Sell now fills it at once. You receive the offer minus the 2% fee and the royalty.

Buy orders

Make offer on a card page places a buy order on one copy of that card, in SOL. Your SOL sits in the order's account on Tensor's program, not with GEMZ, until the holder sells into it or you cancel. Cancelling returns the SOL and the deposit. When it fills, the card lands in your wallet and you pay nothing more.

Trade offers

Swap cards with another collector, with SOL to even it up. Both wallets sign one transaction, so both sides move at once and nobody has to send first.

Trade offers open soon. You can already build a trade on the Trade page; sending offers switches on shortly after launch. Here's how they'll work.

  1. Make an offer. Open Trade and paste their wallet, or press Offer a trade on a card page. Pick your cards and theirs, up to 14 in all. Even it up adds the difference in SOL to the side giving less (SOL can only go one way). Tick I'm ready, press Make trade, and sign in your wallet.
  2. They answer. The offer appears in their Incoming tab. They can accept, decline, or counter with new terms, which sends a new offer back to you.
  3. It settles. When an offer is accepted, GEMZ checks both sides still have everything, then sends the signed transaction. The cards and SOL swap in one go.

Good to know

  • No GEMZ fee and no royalty on trade offers. The wallet that accepts pays the network fee (about 0.000015 SOL).
  • An offer lasts 7 days. The sender can cancel it until it's accepted.
  • Your signed offer stays valid while they decide. GEMZ holds a key that cancels offers and co-signs the swap when one is accepted. It can't change an offer's terms or move your cards or SOL.
  • If a card moves or the SOL isn't there when the offer is accepted, the trade can't go through. GEMZ cancels it and says why. Nothing moves.
  • Only Collector Crypt cards can be traded, and every card is checked on-chain before you see it or sign. See Safety.

Fees

GEMZ adds no fee of its own on top. On Tensor trades, GEMZ is paid a broker's share of Tensor's 2% fee, which the buyer (or the seller, on Sell now) pays anyway. Half of that fee goes to brokers: 0.8% of the price to whoever brought the listing or buy order, and 0.2% to whoever brought the buyer or seller who filled it.

What you doWhat you payGEMZ's part

The Solana network fee is 0.000005 SOL per signature; GEMZ adds no priority fee. The royalty goes to the card's creator: 2% to Collector Crypt on their cards.

Tokenomics TBA

Tokenomics: TBA. GEMZ takes no fee on trades. Creator rewards from the GEMZ coin go to building and running GEMZ: protocol development, security audits and infrastructure.

Safety

  • GEMZ never holds your cards or SOL. Every trade settles between wallets through Tensor's, Collector Crypt's and Metaplex's programs. You never send anything to GEMZ.
  • You see everything before you sign. Every action shows its full breakdown first, and your wallet opens only after that.
  • Look-alike cards are stopped. The classic trade scam is a fake card with the same name and picture. GEMZ checks every card in a trade on-chain: it must be in Collector Crypt's collection, held by the person giving it, and free to move. A card that fails shows as Unverified card, with no name or picture, and the offer can't be signed or accepted.
  • Transactions are checked before your wallet sees them. For trade offers, GEMZ rebuilds the transaction from the offer on screen and compares it byte for byte. For Collector Crypt buys, it checks the card, the buyer and the price.
  • GEMZ never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does isn't GEMZ.

Cards and prices

  • Value is the insured value Collector Crypt sets for each card.
  • Price history comes from sales on-chain. Listings come from Collector Crypt, Tensor and Magic Eden, cheapest first.
  • Redeeming the physical card, or selling it back to Collector Crypt, happens on Collector Crypt. Redeeming burns the token.
